Noor Mendonck

Biography

Noor Mendonck (2000) is a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Law and Criminology (Department of Interdisciplinary Study of Law, Private Law and Business Law and Financial Law Institute). She joined the Financial Law Institute in October 2024.

Noor graduated as Master of Laws in 2023 and subsequently obtained a Master of Science in General Economics in 2024, both at Ghent University.

She is preparing a PhD dissertation in the area of insolvency law , under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Diederik Bruloot. Her research focuses on sectoral insolvency law, with the intention to find out whether and why certain sectors might require tailored insolvency frameworks.
