Diederik Bruloot


      Diederik Bruloot is a professor at the Law School of Ghent University. He teaches several courses on business law as well as a course on international economic law. His current research focusses on the legal aspects of corporate finance. During the last years he published on a broad range of topics within the fields of company law, insolvency law and consumer law.

      Diederik obtained his law degree at Ghent University in July 2005 (summa cum laude) and joined the Financial Law Institute as a research assistant afterwards. In June 2012 he successfully defended his PhD thesis regarding creditor protection in European company law (Vennootschapskapitaal en schuldeisers, Antwerp-Cambridge, Intersentia, 2014, 824 p.).

      He is a member of the Financial Law Institute (2005), of the Belgian National Centre for Company Law (2014), of the Interuniversity Centre for Consumer Law (2014) and of the Ghent Rolin-Jaequemyns International Law Institute (2015).
